More and more people are going vegan, so it makes sense to think about the impact our decision to eat meat or not has on our environment. Because who eats vegan, protects not only the animals but also the environment. While I am not vegan, I do try to eat a plant-based diet. If I eat meat, I choose very carefully where it comes from. For example, last winter we decided to eat only game from local forests. Unfortunately, when you go out to eat, it’s not always clear what’s going to be on your plate. Therefore, it makes sense to chose a vegetarian or vegan restaurant. Fortunately, the number of delicious vegan restaurants in Munich is increasing.

Here are my top 5 vegan restaurants in Munich:

Soy Vegan

The lines in front of the door already suggest it: the food at Soy Vegan is simply fantastic. Creative Vietnamese cuisine is served here. Try the pancakes or the Saté .

Kansha Vegan Sushi

Kansha on Occam Street offers not only creative sushi creations but also other Japanese delicacies. Of course, the vegan version.

Lost Weekend – vegan Café

With its long tables and shelves full of Reclam books, Lost Weekend is not only a vegan coffee shop but also a bookstore and co-working space. Perfect for students, as the café is located directly at the university, Schellingstraße at the corner of Leopold. In the evenings there are regular events such as open stage, readings, and jazz.

Hippie Chay

Vegan seems to work well in Vietnamese. Hippie Chay serves cool vegan street food like delicious bao buns, wantana and dumplings but also vegan sushi. The sauces are homemade, of course without the use of glutamate. In addition, they also pay attention to sustainability in other ways: all packaging materials are biodegradable.
